Expensive Tanlines

I don’t know about you but I love swimwear (like really love it)! I buy a new bathing suit every summer; ok maybe more than one bikini and one, one piece.

We all have that one item (or maybe several) that we are willing to spend a lot of money on.

My guilty pleasure is buying a “considerable” amount of new swimsuits every summer, you can never have too much (you tell me is 5+ pairs of swimsuits a lot)! Unfortunately, I can not explain this unhealthy obsession. When it comes to swimwear I do not look at the price tag (sorry this is not a budgeted post), if I like the fit and the color, I get it.

Being that I am obsessed with swimwear, I have tried many different brands, from fast fashion to high end, and I narrowed it down to my long time, and current favorites.

My go to swimwear brands:

#1. Minimale Animale

#2. Agent Provocateur

#3. Oh Polly

These are my favorite brands because of the quality, style, and color selection they have.

They are definitely on the pricier side, and it is due to where it is made, how it is made, and the material. Of course the price is also based on the name (brand), but in my opinion it is very much so worth the buck $$$$.

Minimale Animale – The perfect swim brand for quality, color, and barely any tan lines (they are known for their thong bottoms! No tanlines!) They never disappoint! Their fit is amazing and their color selection is great. You will get exactly what you shop for, the website’s images do not deceive. I can always rely on them for great solid color options and consistent styles, which I love. For the most part they stay on brand and do not go crazy on changing their top and bottom styles, which again I love because I know the fit and how it would look on me. They for sure know their consumer.

Agent Provocateur – Alright, this one is the priciest of them all and definitely on the luxury side.  AP in general just has amazing options (I actually used to work for them). With AP swimwear you can get a classic bathing suit or a sexy itty bitty one. Besides Mazzy (their best seller), they come up with the most beautiful new designs every season. Unlike Minimale Animale and Oh Polly, Agent Provocateur swimwear has more options for people of any age, which widens their demographic. Their quality is stupendous and their swimsuits last for more than a few years, never going out of style.

Oh Polly – The versatile brand. Oh Polly takes risks, and is on top of their “whats trending” game. They know exactly who their buyer is and know what is hot on the market. They have amazing patterns, colors, and fun styles. I personally would say that their demographic is more focused on the young adult who is fun and not shy to show off. Their brand is definitely sexy and they have a large selection.

Last but not least – all three brands have a variety of one piece swimsuits that can be worn as bodysuits. A win win if you ask me!

Thank you for reading, and enjoy your shopping!
